This introduction will attract you to my passion ... Mushrooms!
I can say that a mushroom is no more than a fungus.
In medieval times they were considered as exaltations of the humid earth and that appeared, without a logical explanation, in soils like meadows, hills or on wood.
The reproductive apparatus of the mushrooms function like a fruit that is born in an orchard and by this characteristic are sporocarp - commonly called mushrooms. In fact they appear as the visible part that the underground fungi need for their reproduction.
